Cheese and Chilli Festival BasingstokeWe are delighted to announce that the amazing Cheese & Chilli Festival is returning to Basingstoke in the War Memorial Gardens in Basingstoke in 2017! We are delighted to bring the party back to the town we love. Having personal ties to Basingstoke and knowing how much the people of Basingstoke enjoy having a good time, it was an obvious decision to make.

The event will bring an amazing array of tastes, colours and experiences to town and is a ‘must go to event’. Come rain or shine, the event will be fantastic! For 2017 will see more cheese and chillies from around the world along with great Arts & Craft products.

The event has an obvious focus on cheese and chilli, but there will be something for everyone at the event and is a perfect family day out with FREE activities for children and adults to take part in as well as fun rides and games etc.

If that wasn’t enough, there will be a fantastic Beer Festival all weekend from the local microbrewery, Downton Brewery! Plus this year we have Dorset Mobile Bar’s fantastic Inflatable Pub and bar serving a wide selection of cider, lager, wine, seasonal cocktails and soft drinks – so there will be something for all the family and you can cool your palate down in our pub garden!

As we are supporting Breast Cancer Haven at all our shows this year, we are very privileged to welcome a special guest to the show who is local to Basingstoke JANE DEVONSHIRE the winner of the 2016 Mastchef.  Jane is doing this as a supporter of Breast Cancer Haven a wonderful charity that is close to her heart.  We are hoping that Jane will delight us in the Demonstration Tent by offering some cooking tips.  As Jane is with us to help the charity we will be asking for a small charitable contribution to see Jane perform in the Demonstration Tent.

UPDATE – Unfortunately, we are sorry to have just learnt that Jane is unable to attend the event saying;

Dear Chilli & Cheese festival Basingstoke,
I am very sorry that I am now unable to attend this wonderful festival on Saturday 24th June, and provide a cookery demonstration as planned.
I was really looking forward to attending this event, but am no longer able to due to unforeseen family circumstances. I am really sorry to disappoint anyone looking forward to my personal appearance.
I hope you have a wonderful visit at this years festival in Basingstoke.
Warmest Regards
Jane Devonshire
MasterChef Winner 2016

To complement the party, with a dedicated stage area, live music from many local acts will be performed at the event.

Please see the schedule for notification of the bands playing at times etc.

Dogs: Dogs are very welcome at the shows, all we ask is that they are kept on leads.  There are some dog trade stands on site so they won’t feel left out.
