Date: 10th & 11th June 2017
Time: 10am to 5pm
We are delighted to announce that the amazing Cheese and Chilli Festival is back in Christchurch for 2017. The event in 2016 at the new venue was a great success and we have decided to stay there for 2017 bringing an amazing array of tastes, colours and experiences to town and is a ‘must go to event’. Come rain or shine, the event will be fantastic!
The venue boasts a great space as it’s next to the airport and is a beautiful setting which helps make the atmosphere amazing. We will again see more cheese and chillies on offer from around the world than previous years’, so come and enjoy.
Whilst the event this year will have a distinct focus on the cheese and chilli, there will be something for everyone at the event and is a perfect family day out with FREE children and adult activities on offer as well as fun rides etc (see home page for list of activities on offer). Exclusive to the Christchruch event we have the pleasure of welcoming the local cooking celebrity Sarah Ali Choudhury who will be in the Demonstration Tent cooking her famous ‘Chilli Paneer Blaze.’
If that wasn’t enough, there will be a fantastic Beer Festival all weekend from our very own Downton Brewery! Plus this year we have Dorset Mobile Bar’s fantastic Inflatable Pub and bar serving a wide selection of cider, lager, wine, seasonal cocktails and soft drinks – so there will be something for all the family and you can cool your palate down in our pub garden!
To complement the party, with a dedicated stage area, live music from many local acts will be performed at the event.
This year, as well as Live Music, Falconry displays, Magic shows, Punch & Judy, Demonstrations and Tastings, we have amazing Stunt Shows being performed by Jez Avery and the 3Sixty Stunt Team.
We will also be supporting the Bournemouth Hospital Charity at the event. Bournemouth Hospital Charity raises funds for projects that are beyond the scope of NHS funding. From the little extras to help you to get well, to the big extras that will help you get treated faster and more comfortably. They are only able to do this through the generous support of individuals and organisations in the community.
Their work makes a lasting difference to the lives of over 486,000 patients who are treated at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital every year and they couldn’t do it without the support of people like you.
Please see the schedule for notification of the bands playing at times etc.
