21st & 22nd July 2018 – 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
We are delighted to announce that the amazing Cheese and Chilli Festival is coming back to Guildford in 2018 at Shalford Park! We had an amazing time in 2017 and can’t wait to return.
The event will bring an amazing array of tastes, colours and experiences to town and is a ‘must go to event’. Come rain or shine, the event will be fantastic!
The venue boasts a great space and is a beautiful setting which helps make the atmosphere amazing. We will again see more cheese and chillies on offer from around the world than previous years’, so come and enjoy.
The event has an obvious focus on cheese and chilli, but there will be something for everyone at the event and is a perfect family day out with FREE activities for children and adults to take part in as well as fun rides and games etc. Other entertainments include, PIG RACING, Cooking Demonstrations, Presentations, Tastings, Man V Food Challenge, Chilli Eating Competitions, Magic Shows, Falconry Flying Displays, Punch & Judy, Balloon Modelling plus lots more.
If that wasn’t enough, there will be a fantastic Beer Festival all weekend from our very own Downton Brewery! Plus this year we have Dorset Mobile Bar’s fantastic Inflatable Pub and Worley’s Cider bar serving a wide selection of ciders and larger plus others.
To complement the party, with a dedicated stage area, live music from many local acts will be performed at the event.
Please see the schedule for notification of the bands playing at times etc.
We are once again supporting the local Charity the Challengers whose mission is to provide truly inclusive, fun and safe places where all disabled children and young people can spend time with their friends. To offer a positive impact for families and the wider community. The Challengers have volunteered to manage the car park at the Cheese & Chilli Festival and whilst it is FREE to park at the event, any donations you can offer the Challengers Team will be greatly appreciated so please bring any spare change that you have.
Dogs are very welcome at the shows, all we ask is that they are kept on leads. There are some dog trade stands on site so they won’t feel left out.
