We are delighted to announce that the amazing Cheese and Chilli Festival is returning to Winchester for 2017, at the North Walls (Devils Island) Recreation Ground behind the River Park Leisure Centre.
The event will again bring an amazing array of tastes, colours and experiences to town and is a ‘must go to event’. Come rain or shine, the event will be fantastic! The event in 2017 will see more cheese and chillies from around the world brought to you along with amazing arts and craft stalls selling great and authentic products.
The event has an obvious focus on cheese and chilli, but there will be something for everyone at the event and is a perfect family day out with FREE activities for children and adults to take part in as well as fun rides and games etc.
Activities include; Live Music, Motorbike, Quad and Mountain Bike Stunt Shows from the amazing Jez Avery, Falconry display, Magic Shows, Punch & Judy, Inflatables, Chilli Eating Competition, Real Ale and Real Cider Bars, Craft Tent, Sand Art, Ballon Modelling, Wine Tastings, Cooking Demonstrations, Chilli Presentations, not to mention all the amazing produce and crafts for sale at the show.

Dogs: Dogs are very welcome at the shows, all we ask is that they are kept on leads. There are some dog trade stands on site so they won’t feel left out.
- The venue: North Walls, Devils Island, Gordon Road, Winchester, SO23 8DJ.
- Whilst there are no allocated parking available on site there are many city centre car parks and parking available at River Park Leisure Centre. For more information about car parks please visit www.winchester.gov.uk/parking/council-car-parks
- Park & Ride: There is also a park and ride service available on Saturday and buses from the car park do stop at North Walls. For more information please visit www.winchesterparkandride.co.uk
- Train: From Winchester station walk straight ahead onto City Road. Keep walking ahead onto North Walls. Turn left onto Park Avenue (passing Winchester School of Art). At the end of Park Avenue enter the park and go straight ahead, walking alongside the river (not towards the play area) and the Devils Island is just past the bowling green which is surrounded by a high hedge on your right hand side. Walking: From River Park leisure centre take the bridge across the river towards the tennis courts – you can walk either side of the tennis courts and find your way across 2 possible bridges onto Devils Island.
