Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 4pm, the ultimate test of heat kicks off! Watch as fearless (or maybe slightly crazy) contestants take on the fiery challenge, battling through increasingly hot chillies. It’s always a hilarious spectacle—who knew such tiny fruits could cause so much drama?

The nearest railway station is Christchurch Railway Station, approximately 3 miles from the festival site.

Christchurch is served by South Western Railway, with regular connections from Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Brockenhurst, New Milton, London Waterloo and other destinations.

Getting to the festival from Christchurch Railway Station:

• Taxi: Approximately 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic.
• Walking: Approximately 60–75 minutes.
• Bus: Local services operate from Christchurch, although there is no convenient direct weekend bus service to the festival entrance.

Alternatively, Bournemouth Railway Station is approximately 5 miles from the festival site, with taxis available for the onward journey.

🚆 ⁠National Rail

Local bus services are operated by Morebus, connecting Christchurch with Bournemouth, Ringwood, New Milton and surrounding areas.

Route 737 – Bournemouth to Bournemouth Airport

The 737 bus connects Bournemouth Railway Station with Bournemouth Airport, which is located near the festival site.

However, this service does not currently operate at weekends, so it is not a suitable option for most festival visitors.

Routes X1 and X2 – Christchurch and surrounding areas

The X1 and X2 services connect Christchurch with surrounding towns and villages.

Visitors can use these services to reach the Christchurch area before continuing their journey by taxi.

Please note that these buses do not stop directly outside the festival entrance.

Important: Public transport connections to the festival site are limited, particularly on Sundays. We recommend planning your journey in advance and checking return travel arrangements.

Venue: Hurn Bridge Show Field, Parley Lane, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 6AD.

The festival is easily accessible by car from Christchurch, Bournemouth, Ringwood and surrounding areas.

FREE parking is available at the festival site!

Parking is provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and an entry ticket does not guarantee a parking space.

We recommend arriving early to avoid the busiest periods.

Please follow the official festival parking signs and directions from our friendly stewards when approaching the site.

Cycling is another way to reach the Christchurch Cheese & Chilli Festival.

The festival site is accessible from surrounding areas, including Christchurch, Hurn and Bournemouth.

Please take care when cycling along local roads, particularly Parley Lane, and follow any festival signage when approaching the entrance.

We recommend bringing a suitable bicycle lock.

The festival takes place at Hurn Bridge Show Field on Parley Lane, near Bournemouth Airport.

Although walking to the festival is possible from some surrounding areas, the venue is situated outside Christchurch town centre.

Please be aware that some nearby roads are busy and may not have continuous pedestrian footpaths.

We recommend checking your walking route carefully before travelling, particularly if visiting with young children.

Travelling by taxi is one of the easiest ways to reach the festival if you’re arriving by train or staying locally.

Approximate journey times:

• Christchurch Railway Station: 10–15 minutes.
• Bournemouth Railway Station: 15–20 minutes.
• Christchurch Town Centre: 10–15 minutes.
• Bournemouth Town Centre: 15–25 minutes.

Journey times may vary depending on traffic.

We recommend booking your return taxi in advance, particularly towards the end of the festival.
