The Cheese & Chilli Festival supports various charities and local causes including Breast Cancer Haven who offer advice, The Challengers whose aim is to provide truly inclusive, fun and safe places where all disabled children and young people can spend time with their friends, Marie Curie who are committed to ensuring access to high-quality palliative and end of life care and support for people living with a terminal illness and their families and the Worldwide Veterinary Service help animals in places where no one else can.
The event is organised by 33rd Management Ltd who created the first event in 2014. The events are aimed towards the family audience as there is simply something for everyone. Generally speaking each event accommodates between 5,000 and 10,000 visitors over each weekend. There are between 80 and 120 trade stands at each show offering Cheese & Chilli type products, crafts, retail units, Tastings, Cooking Presentations, Demonstrations, along with children’s and adults entertainment including Crazy Golf, Human Sized Table Football, Treasure Hunts, Punch & Judy, Balloon Modelling, Magic Shows, Live Music, plus lots more.
